Hello everyone - it's that crazy time of year again. Early December means a lot of people running through downtown Columbus in red Speedo swimsuits! Why do they do this? To raise money and awareness of diabetes programming, right here in Central Ohio. CODA is the only independent, non-profit organization that programs education to adults with type 2 - that is specifically designed to help them understand their "new normal" and make any lifestyle changes necessary to live their best life. We also are the ones who provide life-changing summer camp opportunities to kids with type 1. Summer camp not only helps the kids take control of their diabetes - but it also gives their parents and caregivers an opportunity to sleep through the night, knowing the kids are safely cared for by our medical volunteers.
